Organised as part of the London 2012 Festival, Piccadilly Circus and its surrounding streets were transformed into a one-day, pop-up circus with opera, acrobatics and other live performance art.
The project involved stringing eight zip wires several hundred feet long to connect the tops of surrounding buildings for the aerial performances and the installation of 12 stages for ground-based performances. Momentum located and designed fixing points to enable the wires to be attached safely and securely to buildings. This involved extensive liaison with building managers and negotiations to obtain relevant approvals.
