Pat Faulkner . MEng

Pat joined Momentum in 2025 as a graduate engineer after completing Architectural Engineering at Loughborough University. With a strong interest in sustainable and innovative structural solutions, he is particularly passionate about timber design, especially glulam structures. His final-year thesis focused on the experimental analysis of how moisture content affects the shear and bending capacity of glulam beams, and he hopes to continue specialising in this area as his career develops.

Originally from rural Devon, Pat grew up surrounded by nature, a connection that continues to influence both his lifestyle and design outlook.

Outside of work, he’s a competitive endurance runner and keen road cyclist, commuting daily by bike from Bristol to the Bath office. Pat has bike-packed over 900 km across the UK and is now transitioning into triathlon. A passionate home cook, he enjoys experimenting with seasonal ingredients to create simple, healthy.
