Bush Theatre

The final phase of the Bush Theatre's gradual transformation from a former public library building is complete, with the theatre officially opening in Spring 2017.

This phase of work provided a new accessible entrance to the main street. The design establishes a distinct identity for the theatre and connects the street more directly to the reconfigured interior spaces.

The improvements ensure full disability access to all floors, the creation of a workshop for scenery construction and the introduction of two dressing rooms, along with flexible studio and rehearsal spaces.

The Bush Theatre was highly commended for "outstanding achievement" in the Cultural Building of the Year category at this year's AJ Retrofit Awards, and has also been selected by the Hammersmith Society as winner of their Conservation Award for 2017.
