The brief for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic shooting arenas was to provide three temporary and sustainable structures with design values sufficient for hosting an Olympic sporting event.
A key feature of the spectacular fabric-clad, demountable structures was the coloured disks in its 18,000m2 phthalate-free PVC membrane, providing ventilation openings as well as forming distinctive coloured circles on the external skin to theme the buildings and act as wayfinding signals for entrances.
Momentum also designed a 334m-long, 24m-high ballistic screen to protect surrounding areas from the open-air, clay-pigeon shooting events.
