Harrow School - Bessborough Pavilion

The project involved the restoration and rear extension of a cricket pavilion at Harrow School, as part of our long standing relationship with the school and architect, Rivington Street Studio.

The existing pavilion had suffered (structural) damage and was in need of a complete overhaul to preserve it for years to come. Additionally, a new rear extension was added to meet modern demands and include enhanced amenities.

The structural works comprised the restoration of the masonry walls, including crack stitching, brick replacement and repairs, and historic cement mortar replacement with lime mortar.

Furthermore, repairs - and local replacement - of the timber ground floor (affected by wet rot) and timber roof structure (affected by vermin) was carried out. in addition to the restoration, measures were incorporated to minimise the risk of the issues recurring in the future.
