Manor Development Company run an enterprise centre in a deprived area of Sheffield. Having outgrown their existing facilities, and with a large waiting list, they embarked upon the construction of a new building housing workshop, office and community spaces.
The building is partially cut into the sloping site and has a exposed concrete lower floors housing the heavier functions with the upper floor constructed from timber frame where loads are lighter. An 10m span bridge provides vehicle and pedestrian access to the new building.
